Monday Morning Wine Review: Lima

We thought that it would be the perfect accompaniment to a baked fish dinner on a warm, spring, Sunday night, but this wine turned out to be quite a disappointment. It was bitter to the a degree of being undrinkable. To be fair to the wine, we even opened the second bottle the next day at lunch to be certain that our tasting notes were accurate. They were. Don't be seduced by this pretty bottle and price and pick something else for your party. The Wine: Lima The Varietal: Loureira Blanco The Price: $9.99 The Hook: Portguguese wine The Taste: Light and crisp and highly austere The Grade: F (always the grade when we throw out a newly opened, untainted bottle)
