Patriotic Cocktails and Mocktails for Every 4th of July Celebration
Gather your friends. Pick up that firewood. Barbecue the burgers and hot dogs. Set up your lawn games. And whatever you do, don’t forget the 4th of July themed cocktails! A 4th of July party isn’t complete without red, white, and blue drinks to pump everyone up. Whether for you’re having a backyard BBQ, a patriotic pool party, or a fire roadie to watch the fireworks with, we have got you covered with the best patriotic drink ideas to celebrate!
For the Backyard BBQ:
Rose is a go-to when it comes to summertime wine, and an Aperol Spritz is a go-to cocktail that makes everyone feel as though they’re sailing the Mediterranean. So why not combine the two for America’s favorite summer holiday? This Rose Spritz is sure to keep you refreshed and quench your thirst during the 4th of July barbecue. Plus, it’s a little more sophisticated than seltzers and beers that typically fill the coolers in the backyard, and- it’s pretty!
Freedom Rings Rose Spritz
1 part rose of your choice
1 part Aperol
Top with prosecco
Garnish with an orange wheel
Fill a wine glass with ice. Pour Aperol over ice to fill just under half the glass. Add the same amount of Rose. Top with prosecco & garnish with an orange wheel.
For the Patriotic Pool Party:
Nothing like an alcoholic version of your childhood drink of choice to make you feel young again. Sweet and tart with the help of our delicious margarita mix, this is guaranteed to become a favorite poolside cocktail this summer. Don’t forget the blue curacao and blue sugar rim that makes this drink ideal for an Independence Day-themed pool party.
Bold & Brave Blue Sour

Mocktail Celebration
For those of you who’d rather skip the alcohol, or want to have something for the kids, this fan-favorite frozen drink is the perfect poolside sip. It is a virgin Miami Vice but we add the blue sugar rim for a full American flag effect along with cookie-cutter pineapple stars if you want to impress guests. Just add rum for the alcoholic version of this sweet treat!

For the Family Fireworks Tailgate:
If heading to the nearest beach, ballpark, lake, or wherever your area's greatest firework show is your annual 4th of July tradition, we’ve got something you may want to add to that yearly ordeal. This spicy margarita will keep you awake while you wait for the show to start all while looking festive in red, white, and blue!
Fire & Ice (Spicy blue margarita with Tajin & Salt rim)

For the Red, White, and Booze Beach Day
If you live near the beach in Florida, California, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Massachusetts, or wherever you happen to be in this beautiful country, you’ve likely celebrated our independence at the beach at least once in your lifetime. If you haven’t, you should probably make it a point to do so. Blast your favorite tunes, set up that tent, bring the football, and be sure to have an easy pre-made cocktail for everyone to sip while they soak up the sun and celebrate the land of the free and the home of the brave. This is our favorite party punch that also happens to go with the theme.
Star-Spangled Red Rum Punch
1 cup light rum
1 cup dark rum
1 cup pineapple juice
2 oranges juiced
4 limes juiced
6 oz grenadine
Star anise pods for garnish
Star-shaped pineapple chunks for garnish
Cut pineapple & use a star-shaped cookie cutter to create star-shaped pieces. Add all liquid ingredients to a pitcher & mix. Add star anise. Pour punch over ice & serve with pineapple star garnish & star anise garnish.
For the 4th of July Golf Game
Amp up your holiday golf game quickly with one or two of these bad boys. A classic on the golf course, this fusion of vodka and juices is going to be your new go-to if it isn’t already. Grape juice is one of those rarely used cocktail juices, but this beverage has us wondering why. As a bonus, the combination creates a red-purple-colored drink that’ll keep you feeling patriotic!
All-American Transfusion
3 oz vodka ( we like Titos)
1.5 oz grape juice (sub with cranberry if you don’t have grape juice & for a brighter red color)
½ oz lime juice
Ginger Ale
Lime wedge garnish (or no garnish because you’re golfing!)
Grab your to-go cup, and fill it with ice. Add vodka, lime juice, and grape juice. Fill the rest with ginger ale. Stir & sip! Now you can hit ‘em straight!
Your 4th of July plans just got easier with these recommendations, so you’re welcome! If you’re hosting a pool party, beach bash, firework viewing on the yacht, or a backyard barbecue, hiring a bartender or two to serve your guests can help relieve some of the party-planning stress. Book those bartenders soon though, it’s a popular day for parties!
