Wicked Cocktails for Wicked the Movie
Get ready friends - Wicked the movie is debuting Friday, November 22 and we couldn’t be more excited about it. I remember seeing the play on Broadway in 2006 and wondering if it would be possible to squeeze in one more viewing before we left New York. That did not happen but I’ll be first in line for the premier this month. To help with the celebration, we created a few Wicked-inspired cocktails for you to enjoy on the big day. Wicked the Movie: Glinda Cocktail
Glinda
3 oz Esme Pink Gin
1.5 oz This Girl Walks Into a Bar Margarita Mix
1 oz St. Germaine liqueur
1 oz Pink simple syrup
Dash of edible pink glitter
Pink sugar rim
Directions
Dip the rim of the glass into a shallow layer of simple syrup, then coat with the sugar and set aside. Combine the gin, St. Germain, Margarita Mix, pink simple syrup, and pink glitter in a martini shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a martini glass.
Wicked the Movie: Elphaba Cocktail
Elphaba
3 oz Tequila
1.5 oz Midori
2 oz This Girl Walks Into a Bar Pineapple Mint Mojito Mix
1 drop green food coloring
Dab of green cotton candy
Dusting black sanding sugar if desired
Directions
Combine the tequila, Midori, Pineapple Mint Mojito Mix, and food coloring in a martini shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a coupe. Garnish with cotton candy and serve.
Wicked the Movie: Fiyero Cocktail
Fiyero
3 oz vodka
1 oz Ume liqueur
1 teaspoon This Girl Walks Into a Bar Pineapple Mint Mojito Mix
1 oz purple simple syrup
Top with club soda
Purple flower garnish
Directions
Combine the vodka, Ume, Pineapple Mint Mojito Mix and purple simple syrup in a martini shaker filled with ice. Strain into a highball filled with ice and top with club soda. Garnish with a purple flower and serve.
Wicked the Movie: Madame Morrible Cocktail
Madame Morrible
¾ oz Apple Pucker
¾ oz This Girl Walks Into a Bar Pineapple Mint Mojito Mix
Dash of edible green glitter
4 – 6 oz Prosecco
Directions
Add the apple pucker, Pineapple Mint Mojito Mix, and green glitter to a champagne flute. Tilt the glass to a 45* angle and slowly add the prosecco.
Wicked the Movie: The Wizard Cocktail
The Wizard
3 oz Vodka
1.5 oz Chambord
2 oz This Girl Walks Into a Bar Margarita Mix
1 oz simple syrup
Pinch of activated charcoal
Grey sugar rim
*simple syrup, honey, or agave for creating a “sticky” surface
Directions
Paint the side of the glass with simple syrup then roll into the grey sugar and set aside. Combine the vodka, Chambord, Margarita Mix, simple syrup, and activated charcoal in a martini shaker filled with ice. Strain into a double old fashioned filled with ice and serve.
