Before I discovered single-serve sparkling wine, I never kept more than two bottles of chilled Champagne, Prosecco, or Brüt on hand unless I knew we'd be celebrating a special occasion and needed a lot more. And I definitely can't remember ever opening a bottle just for myself (wine doesn't count). Buying a large bottle for one person's cocktail (mine) seemed like a waste. But now that there are so many individual bottles available, I have no excuse but to keep a few on hand for making those bubbly cocktails that I love.
I found this Spinato brand while shopping at Whole Foods, but there are many choices out there. Get started with a few of my recipes, but experiment by adding your favorite spirit and/or liqueur to a glass filled with Champagne. They make for wonderful warm weather drinks.
