Cocktail Classics with Patrón Tequila: Tequila Mojito & Tequila Sunrise

Teq Sum Icon

You know how passionate we are about the Margarita. But sometimes, even she’s a little greedy with the limelight. There are two other fantastic classics that deserve center stage because of their outstanding taste and beautiful presentation: Tequila Sunrise and Tequila Mojito.

Tequila Sunrise

The Tequila Sunrise may traditionally be served as a breakfast or brunch drink, but we love drinking it all day long…er, I mean, casually in the evening just as the sun is setting over the Pacific.

Tequila Sunrise 1.5 ounces Patrón Anejo 2 ounces freshly squeezed orange juice 1 tablespoon grenadine

Directions: Pour the Patrón Añejo and orange juice over ice and mix well. Add the grenadine and allow it to settle on the bottom for the visual "sunrise" effect.

If you haven’t tried the Mojito with tequila yet, you haven’t experienced the full potential of this classic cocktail.  We recommend substituting mint simple syrup for plain simple syrup to make your Mojito the way it’s meant to be enjoyed.

Tequila Mojito

Tequila Mojito 2 ounces Patrón Silver 1 ounce mint simple syrup ½ of a lime 1 ounce club soda 4 mint leaves for muddling 4 mint leaves for garnishing Lime wheels for garnishing

Directions: Muddle the lime, mint, and Patrón Silver, then add the mint simple syrup and mix well. Fill the glass with ice and top off with club soda. Garnish with fresh lime and mint.
